我一直有關注Jeremy 和Winnie 這對夫婦的部落格，雖然很羨慕他們在部落格中分享的恣意人生，但是總覺得他們部落格中，提供的資訊有限，沒能解開我心中的疑惑(不過近期Jeremy有寫一系列Journey to Early Retirement 的文章，清楚多了!!)。
最近他們夫婦接受Forbes 電話訪問，受訪後刊登的這篇報導(Forbes 原文連結: how this couple retired in their 30s to travel the world)，描繪出這對夫婦達到 financial independence 的過程，給我比較完整的概念!

How much were you earning?
Jeremy: When I started out of college, I was making about $40,000 a year, and that went up to more than $50,000 by the time I left. At Microsoft, I started at $85,000 a year and by the end of my 12 years there, I was at around $140,000.
Winnie: I worked in the same industry — phones and computers, and my last job was project manager at Dell. I was making about $32,000 in Taiwan.)
在Jeremy 和 Winnie 的部落格中，他們推薦大家閱讀Timothy Ferriss 的The 4-Hour Workweek，從書中學習相關概念。
老實說，以前的我，一看到這種書名，是不會拿起來翻的!! (哈哈，有趣的是，這書名可是Timothy Ferriss付費在網路上測試關鍵字後定稿的呢!)
照理說向來對於工作這檔事頗有定見的我，是無法耐著性子看完這本書的。藉著這一段長假時期，許多思緒都沉澱了下來，我希望自己能夠好好想一想，在下次出發前想清楚，我所追求的目標，和背後的動力，應該是甚麼?
另一方面，我也想從不同角度思考，學習John所教導的，do NOT let your roots grasp on this earth。我想，先從學習不被工作羈絆開始吧!!

這本暢銷書的內容提供的資訊很多，也有許多讀者回饋他們切身實踐後的心得(Jeremy 和Winnie的生活模式和書中提及的觀念有許多相同之處 )。有興趣的人可以讀一讀喔~~
