專案動彈不得的同時,客戶的團隊也面臨團隊合作的挑戰。

我怎麼也沒有料到,跨越國籍、語言、文化的背後,原來團隊成員的心聲,竟然是如此相似。

雖然我被賦予的專案任務,不需要處理客戶的團隊困境。但,看著似曾相似的劇情,在我眼前上演,按耐不住地我,雞婆的提供我的觀察,希望能夠幫助客戶,找到對的方式,力挽狂瀾。

1. Staff's mindset

These staff, especially women, they work hard, and consider their hard working are not recognized by managers. Unfortunately, as what they are doing, are routine jobs, not fancy jobs (like big project, or fancy analysis), normally, they don't get recognition by top managers. Usually, staff who are working on daily job, don't get promotion. staff who are working on reporting or projects, get promotion.

With this mindset, if their routine life get worse due to poor process , they get mad easily.

2. They are the end users

Normally, your staff deal with the end process of operations. They always have to follow up the front users to submit on time, and push their own time hard due to delay of front users.

Unfortunately, They have no effective way to push other departments, while due date for your staff is not changeable. As you can image, they suffered from exceptions and delays. So, your staff hate dealing with process that does not follow SOP.

3. Higher standard setup for team members.

As your team suffers from other department's faults everyday, normally, they would not have patience to allow internal team members' mistakes , no matter they are new ones, or senior ones. It's about "how can you do this to me, while you know this is important as a team member".

4. Comparisons all the time

Hard working, suffering from others, no recognition, make your staff consider themselves be unfair treated when comparing with others. "Why do I have to work late when she can go home on time? Why do I have to follow up the issues she created? Why I have to assist you to make your job done, while I didn't earn the credits?"....

Team work is very important, but without recognition, ownership, and team building, staff won't have motivation to work as a team. At least, my staff won't.
